Coronavirus Update/Notices 

 We kindly ask everyone to be sensible and respectful of the social distancing rules. It is compulsory to wear a face covering within the auctions and we require all in attendance to do the NHS Track and Trace on your smartphone or fill out your details on entry. If you feel unwell, stay home. Everyone will have their temperature taken upon entrance to the yard, we thank you all for your patience and understanding.
We have worked incredibly hard to extend the car park over so hopefully this will resolve any parking issues. No parking on the road or Hales Hall Caravan Park.
We’ve decided to hold more viewing days to encourage people to leave commission bids, there will be a restriction of 100 people in each room for auction day.
We accept lots Monday and Tuesday after the auction for the following sale. Anything after will be by appointment only. Please call for more details.
This will start at 10.30am instead of 10am.
Entries from 7am - 9.30am.
All lots will be inside the marquee. Viewing will be inside the marquee. Selling will be outside the marquee.
This will start at 11am.
Entries 8am - 10.30am.
Restriction of 65 people in the room.
Sanitising stations are in each room. We request everyone respects the 1m distance guideline. Please no shaking hands or physical contact, please help us to stay open.

Lockett & Co Auction Rooms is a small independent auction house located in Cheadle, Staffordshire. Originally based at Derby Cattle Market for many years, alternative premises had to be sourced when Derby City Council announced the site was to be demolished.
We are trusted by Derbyshire Constabulary to sell their stolen recovered/proceeds of crime items, also national retailer Machine Mart Ltd uses our company to dispose of their shop returns and end of line goods. Local business, private vendors and solicitors, executors dealing with deceased estates are among our clientele.


Auctions held every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month.
General and Household auction starts at 10am.
Cage and Aviary followed by Poultry 10am.
Horse Tack starts at 11am.

Charges: 15% sellers commission, £1 per lot buyers premium.

Tack Auction:


Lots accepted from 7.30am on auction day only. Last entries at 10.45am

Charges: 15% sellers commission, £1 per lot buyers premium.

Auction starts approx 11am
